AN ACT relative to the membership of the state veterans’ advisory committee.

This bill increases the number of representatives of veterans’ organizations who serve as members of the state veterans’ advisory committee from 14 to 20. The bill also modifies a membership requirement of the committee.

STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE

In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Nine

AN ACT relative to the membership of the state veterans’ advisory committee.

Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:

89:1 State Veterans’ Advisory Committee. Amend RSA 115-A:2, VI(c) to read as follows:

(c) [Fourteen] Twenty representatives of the various veterans' organizations in the state of New Hampshire.

89:2 State Veterans’ Advisory Committee. Amend RSA 115-A:2, VI(b) to read as follows:

(b) Two members of the senate, [one of whom shall be from the public affairs committee,] appointed by the senate president.

89:3 Effective Date. This act shall take effect 60 days after its passage.
