STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE

In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Seven

AN ACT relative to disclosure of campaign contributions in local elections.

Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:

43:1 New Subparagraph; Bylaws; Reporting of Contributions. Amend RSA 31:39, I by inserting after subparagraph (n) the following new subparagraph:

(o) Requiring the reporting of contributions to, and expenditures by, any candidate or political committee made for the purpose of influencing the election of any candidate for local elective office, or any person or committee for the purpose of influencing the vote on any local ballot or referendum question.

43:2 New Paragraph; Bylaws; Reporting of Contributions. Amend RSA 47:17 by inserting after paragraph XIV-a the following new paragraph:

XIV-b. LOCAL ELECTION REPORTING REQUIREMENTS. Requiring the reporting of contributions to, and expenditures by, any candidate or political committee made for the purpose of influencing the election of any candidate for local elective office, or any person or committee for the purpose of influencing the vote on any local ballot or referendum question.

43:3 Effective Date. This act shall take effect 60 days after its passage.
